TEDxSherbrooke Street West's Motion Presents:
Curiosity by Design

Curiosity by Design is the intentional and integral pursuit of questions. It's about integrating curiosity in our work ethic, in the way we create art, in the way we form connections. This theme invites us to treat curiosity as a deliberate practice. It is about choosing to question, to look again, and to move beyond what is immediately visible. As with all TEDx themes, Curiosity by Design leaves room for interpretation, encouraging each participant to define curiosity in their own work, discipline, and experience.

At its core, Curiosity by Design is shaped by stories, research, and lived moments where answers were not obvious. It highlights the value of seeking deeper understanding, where progress comes from asking better questions, exploring uncertainty, and challenging assumptions rather than accepting them.

Curiosity by Design emerges when we consistently question ourselves and others, pushing past surface-level and half-answered answers until a deeper understanding is reached. More than inspiration, this theme calls for action. It asks us to embed curiosity into how we think and work: to make questioning part of our methodology, to remain open to unexpected paths, and to design processes that prioritize discovery.
